I'll walk you through the steps to register your domain name through a reputable registrar and then secure reliable web hosting. This is an important step, and if you haven't already picked out your domain name, I can help you find something memorable and marketable.

In the primary meeting phase we discuss the branding and information architecture of the site. By information architecture I mean what navigation model will be used in order to express your information? Branding encompasses logos, font types, color palettes, and anything else that communicates look and feel.

After establishing your design considerations and an organizational map of the site, I then create design mockups for review. Designs can get their inspiration from anywhere – another website, a magazine ad, a physical location, or even a set of key words. As opposed to other designers who often force you to choose from templates, Ruby Ray Designs provides you with custom design flexibility.

The next step is the building of content. This includes photos, illustrations, and text. Since many people struggle with writing about their own ventures, Ruby Ray Designs offers professional writing content tailored to your business's needs. A skeletal version of each page is thus created that shows only the vital content of each page. At this point, it lacks the style that will make it come alive in the next step.

In the development stage, design is coded into reality by clean css-based (x)html code. I test the website across multiple web browsers and OS platforms. Lastly, I deliver the website to you, the client, for final review and approval, before it is fully launched. This stage includes search engine optimization, documentation of how to update your site, email account setup, and showing you how to obtain statistics about your site's visitors.

An additional service I can provide, for a small additional cost, is business card, letterhead, and brochure materials designed to match your new website. This is often needed when the business is new and did not already have these materials, or when the website creation process ended up evolving the company's overall visual presence.
